Usually for one of three reasons. In each case I own the build myself, from architecture to release.
You have a product to prove. I scope it with you, pick an architecture that won't need rewriting at the first sign of traction, and ship it to the stores.
Releases are slow and every change breaks something. I restructure the codebase and the backend behind it while the app keeps shipping.
The original team has moved on. I get the project building again, write down how it works, and keep releases going.
Newest first.

I'm Hamza, a product engineer in Lahore. I've spent 9+ years shipping software, most of it mobile, and 6+ years of that in Flutter.
I've been on founding teams, led mobile engineering through a $10M seed round, and led product engineering on a health and FinTech app from MVP to 290,000+ registered users. These days I split my time between my own products and building apps for founders who want one engineer accountable for the whole thing.
I work best when I own the outcome: architecture, backend, native integrations, store release and the support after it. You get a test build on your phone every week, and a straight answer when there's a simpler way to reach the goal.
Before we talk, here are the usual ones.
As an individual. I'm a senior engineer who writes the code myself, and you deal with me directly from scoping through release and support. There's no account manager in between and no hand-off to a junior team.
Flutter and Dart for iOS, Android and web apps, with native Swift and Kotlin when a feature needs it. Backends on Node.js, Django, GraphQL or Firebase, admin dashboards and websites in Next.js, and AI features with OpenAI and Gemini.
Yes. I get the project building again, document how it works, fix what blocks releases, and then keep shipping. I've also restructured apps mid-flight, such as migrating a freight marketplace's backend from Firebase to Node.js and GraphQL while its apps stayed live.
Yes. I shipped Apple HealthKit and Google Health Connect sync in Emorya, a health and FinTech app with 290,000+ registered users, and built a Garmin Connect integration that syncs training runs into MyRace.
Yes. I've built a four-agent OpenAI GPT-4o pipeline for AlignAgain, Gemini food scanning for Emorya, and Gemini image generation with server-side keys and paid credits for Beardly.
Email me what you're building and where it's stuck. I reply with how I'd approach it and what it would take. Once we agree on scope, you get a test build on your own phone every week, so you always see real progress.
I'm in Lahore, Pakistan (UTC+5) and work remotely. I've worked with teams and clients in the UK, Romania and the UAE.
Yes. I'm Top Rated on Upwork with a 100% Job Success Score, and you can hire me there or contract with me directly.
I'll reply with how I'd approach it and what it would take. I work remotely from Lahore (PKT, UTC+5) with teams in other time zones.
